What actually comes out of a double coat
A double coat keeps shedding its soft undercoat, and a regular bath leaves most of it in. The Double Coated Groom takes it out, in our trailer in your driveway, so the loose fur stays with us and not in your house.

Request an AppointmentWhich service is right for my pet?+
Our services are organised by coat type, not by breed. Tell us your pet's breed, weight and coat condition and add a photo, and we'll recommend the right groom. If a coat is overgrown or matted, a Tidy-Up may need to become a Full Groom.
Do you take nervous or difficult pets?+
Yes. Fearful and aggressive pets are accepted and handled with patience and kindness, one pet at a time in our trailer. An additional charge may apply depending on the degree of difficulty, and it is agreed with you before any work begins.
How do you handle senior pets?+
Heather is a certified Senior Pet Care Specialist (S.P.C.S.). Older pets get extra patience, more breaks and gentle handling, with awareness of conditions such as arthritis. Tell us about your pet's routine and what they find hard when you book. For a pet nearing the end of life we also offer the Angel Groom: a gentle session at home, with no restraints and no rush. Call us and we'll talk it through.
How is the price decided?+
Pricing is based on coat type, size, time required and overall grooming needs, not on breed alone. Every pet is assessed and the price is agreed before any work begins. Dogs are grouped into weight tiers from Toy (up to 10 lbs) to Extra Large (71–84 lbs); dogs of 85 lbs and above carry a $20 oversize fee. Cats are grouped by coat type.
Do you shave double coats?+
Our Double Coated Groom works with the coat instead: a high-velocity blowout and professional de-shedding take out the loose undercoat. A double coat helps regulate body temperature, so shaving it for summer can work against your dog. If a coat is badly matted, we'll talk it through with you before any work begins.
Can I reschedule or cancel?+
Yes, plans change. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance and we'll find a new time that works for you.
